One-to-one support for co-parenting after separation
Separation is hard. Parenting after separation can feel even harder – especially when there’s conflict, court orders, new partners, or children who are struggling to cope.
Parenting Matters Consults are one-hour, online consultations designed to give you calm, practical guidance on your most pressing co-parenting issues. Sessions are held via Zoom, so you can access specialist support from anywhere in Australia.
Whether you need a one-off session or regular check-ins, these consults help you move from feeling overwhelmed to feeling clear, supported, and more confident in your parenting decisions.
What is a Parenting Matters Consult?
A Parenting Matters Consult is a private, one-to-one session focused on your specific parenting situation. The time is completely tailored to you – there is no fixed script or “one size fits all” plan.
In your consult, you can:
-
Talk through current problems in your co-parenting relationship
-
Understand how the family law process and parenting orders affect everyday parenting (this is not legal advice)
-
Explore options for parenting plans and agreements
-
Get support with your child’s adjustment to separation
-
Learn practical strategies to reduce conflict and improve communication with your co-parent
The focus is always child-centred – helping you make decisions that support your children’s emotional wellbeing and safety.
‘I will highly recommend Jasmin as a co-parenting coach. There is no need to go through co-parenting stress, confusing and difficulties alone…. Jasmin operates from a heart centered place but yet assertive and understanding of complex parenting dynamics, an appropriate balance in these matters.’
How a Parenting Matters Consult can help
Parents commonly use Parenting Matters Consults for support with:
-
Understanding the family law process and how it connects with parenting day-to-day
-
Complex communication issues – including angry messages, stonewalling, or high-conflict exchanges
-
Managing anxiety and stress related to ongoing disputes and court matters
-
Improving co-parenting when trust is low or emotions are high
-
Adhering to Orders when they feel unrealistic, confusing, or are continually being tested
-
Negotiating agreements that are more workable and child-focused
-
Children’s separation adjustment – understanding behaviour changes, big feelings, and loyalty binds
You will leave your session with:
-
A clearer picture of what’s happening
-
Practical next steps you can take right away
-
Strategies for staying calm and child-focused, even when your co-parent is not
-
Encouragement and emotional support from an experienced professional
Who are Parenting Matters Consults for?
Parenting Matters Consults are suitable for separated or separating parents who:
-
Are in high-conflict co-parenting situations
-
Are involved in family court or mediation and want to show they are acting responsibly and child-focused
-
Feel stuck in repeated arguments or communication loops
-
Want guidance on how to support their children through big changes
-
Need an experienced professional to help them think through difficult decisions
You can attend alone, or in some situations alongside your co-parent (by agreement). The consult is focused on your behaviour, choices and coping, rather than trying to change someone who doesn’t want to change.
