Through guided reflection, practical tools, and supportive facilitation, participants learn how to regulate emotions, break harmful patterns, communicate respectfully, and take genuine accountability for their actions. The program helps individuals move from reactivity and control toward connection, responsibility, and positive change—creating safer outcomes for partners, children, and families.
If you’re a parent who wants to:
Break old patterns
Reduce conflict
Improve co-parenting
Support your children’s wellbeing
Learn how to respond instead of react
…then Choosing Change is right for you.
The course is run over 16 weeks. Each week focuses on different skills, such as understanding family violence, impacts of family violence, emotional regulation, communication, respect, healthy relationships, boundaries, and co-parenting without violence.
Real change takes time.
Choosing Change is intentionally structured across 16 weeks to allow participants to:
Build insight gradually
Practice new skills
Receive support and feedback
Reduce harmful behaviours in a sustained, lasting way
Strengthen relationships at a pace that leads to genuine change
Research shows that long-term behaviour change is most successful when learning, reflection, and practice are spread over time—not rushed.
Nate and Jasmin will be your Facilitators of this course.
Having both a male and female facilitator in Choosing Change creates a balanced, safe, and relatable learning environment. Each facilitator brings different lived experiences, communication styles, and perspectives, helping participants feel seen, understood, and supported. This gender balance also models respectful collaboration, challenges stereotypes, and reinforces that behaviour change is a shared human responsibility—not a “men’s issue” or a “women’s issue.” Together, they create a space where all voices can be heard and where participants can explore change with confidence and trust.
No. Choosing Change is non-judgmental. It recognises that people can learn, grow, and make better choices. The focus is on:
Understanding what influences your reactions
Recognising patterns that no longer work
Building skills that create safer, more respectful relationships
It’s about responsibility—not shame.
